Background
Agency 222 is Qatar’s newest and fastest growing marketing
communications agency. Founded in June 2011, it has grown to sixty people
from sixteen countries in under a year with a full suite of services that
include creative, media planning & buying, PR, research, digital,
branding and now sponsorship.
Agency 222 was born out of a need to raise the standards of creativity,
strategic planning and service for local, regional and global brand clients
operating in Qatar and across the Middle East. Supported by a growing
reputation and a pro-active new business team, Agency 222 has been
appointed by a number of prominent public and private sector organisations
including the Supreme Council of Health, Qatar University, GSSG Group,
Barwa Bank and recently became Vodafone’s retained marketing services
agency for Qatar.
Agency 222’s sponsorship consultancy practice offers government
agencies, corporates and brands with strategic consultancy and the
development and management of world-class sponsorship activation
programmes.
Key Responsibilities

To lead the delivery of world-class, results driven strategic consultancy and activation management services to clients

To establish Agency 222’s sponsorship practice as the local and regional market leader
-
To position Agency 222’s sponsorship practice as an expert, trusted partner
-
To lead/participate in new business pitches
-
To work closely with Agency 222’s CEO and New Business Director to conceive and execute initiatives that promote Agency 222’s sponsorship practice and advocates the value of sponsorship, e.g. events, PR, etc.

To build and maintain relationships with corporate, brands, government and rights owner institutions

To manage the division’s profit and loss account

To work with Agency 222’s CEO to produce an annual budget

To recruit and retain a team of consultants to support the delivery of world-class services
-
To set and maintain an optimum pricing model for sponsorship consultancy and activation management services

To enhance and refine Agency 222’s sponsorship consultancy and activation management services, systems and procedures
-
To periodically revise the division’s business plan according to business performance and market conditions.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
-
7 – 10 years, board level strategic sponsorship consulting experience with a brand or an agency
-
Track record of creating and delivering major local and multi-market regional sponsorship activation programmes with proven success (global experience advantageous)

Impeccable project management experience

Previous P&L responsibility desirable, but not necessary

English mandatory. Arabic, Spanish and/or French advantageous

Regional experience advantageous, but not necessary

Team player, but can operate autonomously

Balances a rigorous, strategic approach with entrepreneurial flair

Diligent and persistent.
