Speedo International Ltd. is a manufacturer and distributor of swimwear and swim-related accessories. Founded in Australia in 1914, the industry leading company is now a subsidiary of Pentland Group Plc. They require a Territory Manager to manage a designated area, promoting the Speedo brand to an account base of sporting goods retailers.
Key Responsibilities

Complete product presentations and ensure all samples are in condition suitable for presentation

Apply Speedo suggested range segmentation appropriate to field sales
-
Complete and execute strategic business plans with top 5 – 10 accounts.

Effectively manage the interface between the customer and Speedo UK business
-
Liase with Speedo Customer services department regarding deliveries, Customer services and order book management
-
Apply high performance order book management to reduce cancellations and the creation of excess inventory and overdue order book.

Drive Speedo in the POU channel to compliment retail account business
-
Understand the customers profile and needs within the market place
-
Field accounts confirm to selective distribution criteria
-
Liaise effectively with the Finance department regarding credit and payment terms for all accounts

Arrange and carry out stockrooms as necessary
-
Use telephone and diary system to confirm appointments and meeting dates
-
Prepare and plan journey cycle
-
Promote Speedo in store brand presence and visibility through unitary and POS.

Arrange in-store and window displays
-
Use point of sale product effectively
-
Liaise with marketing department with regard to promotions/staff training
-
Maintain customer files and field sales business focus file
-
Ensure all orders taken are processed correctly
-
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time

Analysing performance Vs Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis

Monitor vendor compliance to Group Business Standards and challenge non-compliance where necessary
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
-
Basic knowledge of territory management
-
Proactive, able to plan and prepare workload to maximise opportunities and work to deadlines
-
Excellent skills in spoken communication, active listening, planning and organisation, tenacity, persuasion and self motivation

Previous Territory of Account Management experience

Experience of handling and managing both multiple and single store accounts
Desirable:
-
Ideally, previous knowledge of the swimwear market and UK sports trade
-
Ideally, basic knowledge of fabric construction, features and benefits
