A British based techology company producing high performance branded materials is looking for a Business Development Product Manager (Footwear) to join their sales team.
Given the rapid growth of the company, you’ll very quickly become a real foundation in a successful and motivated team of individuals and will have the opportunity to play a significant role in determining the growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Joining a department of 9 within the Sales team, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

Accountable for the commercial arm of the Footwear sector

Identify, monitor and work collaboratively with the R&D team to contribute to new technical material developments and implementation of sales/brand strategy

Identify, develop and maintain the Brand's Footwear commercial channels and manage new accounts.

Establish strong relations with brands, manufacturers and decision makers to grow the Footwear positioning & revenue

Ability to reach out at all levels - from product development and sales & marketing to R&D

Work with accounts to deliver brand and marketing support

Provide input into the Footwear market strategy & contribute accurate facts to a business road map

Ability to forecast existing, new and future accounts

Ensure the appropriate market intelligence is gathered and disseminated

Manage priorities within the account to ensure customer satisfaction is at the highest level
-
Establish personal relationships with customers as required and at appropriate level
-
Provide key market, time lines and financial data to back up account forecasting and strategy
Skills & Experience Required
-
5+ years BDM/Category Management experience into Sports Footwear Sector. Ideally with a sales background from athletic footwear brands.

Creative sales approach and ability to map out new and growth opportunities

Comprehensive knowledge of sales cycle, marketing principles and tactics within the athletics footwear sector.

Product Development experience on top of sales track record is a highly desirable

Proven track record in establishing strategic partnerships and/or long term commercial ventures

Energetic and charismatic leader with the ability to communicate at all levels
-
Prepared for European and International business travel

Ability to work with a diverse group of people and to deal with a dynamic environment to drive positive cultural change.

Ideally passionate and knowledgeable about sports, easily relating to target consumer market

Languages: French or German desirable
