A leading PR and digital media agency requires an experience public relations or sports sponsorship manager to lead the Sports team in planning, organising and controlling a number of high profile accounts.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Sports team in the activities of one or a number of production, media, digital and creative teams and support staff to achieve the required objectives within agreed budget and timetable.
  • Lead the Sports team to develop relevant campaign strategies for clients
  • Develop and maintain high level of client contact, ensuring clear understanding of client business, internal and external politics, budgetary constraints
  • Maintain full control of client contact by subordinates/specialist teams and to ensure that all work carried out and submitted to clients is to the required standard.
  • Maintain good business practice on behalf of the company towards clients and suppliers.
  • Be responsible for and involved with appraising junior staff in team on annual basis
  • Prepare regular SWOT analysis on clients and present to the executive board
  • Oversee the management of all live Sports new business opportunities on a day to day basis from a logistics, scheduling and implementation perspective, working with the Commercial team
  • To develop and implement a new business programme of activity for the Sports team across a rolling six month plan, working with the Sports and Commercial teams
  • Seek out potential Sports new business prospects and set up credential meetings
  • Develop a high level networking programme for the Sports team and the board
 
Skills & Experience Required
 
Minimum of six years’ experience in public relations/sports sponsorship. Candidates must have previous experience of pitching for and winning new business.
