Repucom Australia has been in operation since 1998 in Australia, previously
S-COMM, and is the market leading agency in the sport industry, known for
its quality and unrivalled relationships. It has evolved to become a full
service research and strategy business, helping their clients make
effective commercial decisions in sport, entertainment and events. They
work with a blue chip client base including all of Australia’s major
professional sporting bodies (including AFL, NRL, Cricket Australia, FFA,
Australian Rugby, Tennis Australia), major sponsor brands and television
broadcasters.
Key Responsibilities
The role will report into the Managing Director, and have responsibility
for;
- Management and responsibility for annual revenue targets for Australia
and NZ
- Initiation and development of new client relationships
- Regular reporting and analysis of Australia and NZ revenue
- Management and development of the business development team
- Ongoing management and development of a large blue chip existing client
base
- Provide strategic end-to-end research service to our clients
- Development of sales presentations, proposals and negotiating new
agreements
Skills and Experience Required
- 7+ years’ experience in a relevant business development /
sponsorship / marketing role ideally across the Sport, Media, Entertainment
arena
- A proven track record in generating new business
- Strong commercial focus and sports marketing knowledge
- A well-established network of contacts within sport and entertainment
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian sponsorship and or media landscape
- Understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods and
appropriate use in market
- Exposure to Repucom media or research reports would be beneficial but
not mandatory
- A resilient individual with a results and outcome focused attitude
The Repucom business is recognised in Australian for its excellent team
ethic. As a member of the executive this individual must be able to support
and work across all areas of the business including; media, market
research, communications and consulting in addition to the newly created
government and events group.
With full ownership of the local commercial strategy, it is critical that
this individual has a strong sales orientation. However, they must also
possess a consultative and strategic approach to business with the
credibility, intelligence and communication skills to operate at an
executive level with both sporting bodies and major international
corporations.
