Background
Wales Squash & Racketball (WSR) was founded in 1938 and is the National
Governing Body for squash and racketball in Wales. The aim of WSR is to
increase the participation, standard and enjoyment of squash and racketball
players throughout Wales.
Key Responsibilties
Your duties will include implementing and reviewing all policies and
procedures to ensure they are up to date and compliant, managing to
resolution all complaints and areas of conflict, providing administration
support to the Board of Directors, and developing working relationships
with, and promoting the Business Plan, to key partners and establishing a
credible reputation and value in the brand of Wales Squash &
Racketball.
Skills & Experience Required
You will need experience in Business related administration, the ability to
lead, manage and motivate staff and volunteers, together with excellent
organisational, planning and communication skills. You will have the
ability to lead an organisation and have a proven working knowledge of the
sports industry or voluntary sector. The ability to communicate effectively
and to develop and maintain positive relationships in the context of the
delivery of an overall plan for the sport is essential.
Other Information
This post will be primarily home-based but may require working at the Sport
Wales National Centre in Cardiff and some travel throughout Wales. You will
be willing and able to work out of normal office hours, including evenings
and weekends.
As the post involves working with children and young people, the post
holder will be required to undergo an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau
check.
