Who/what inspired you to pursue a career in the sporting goods industry?
I love sports and grew up playing tennis and as a result wanted to combine work & hobby into one.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Being in charge for R&T EMEA and seen as the leading person for Wilson Racket & Team in this region.
What does your typical day at Wilson involve?
Analyzing sales numbers, talking with sales & commercial managers, talking to my team on project updates.
What are the most challenging aspects of your job?
Not always being able to react and influence immediately.
What are the most enjoyable aspects of your job?
Working for a great brand in a challenging region.
What tips would you give to graduates wanting to break into the sporting goods industry?
Start early during studies with internships and contacts.
What are the most common mistakes you have seen candidates making when applying to vacancies?
No internship before.
How has elite sport changed since you first entered the industry?
Everything is much faster and more global.
